If you're denied a credit card, does it hurt your credit score?

Sucks I know but anytime you give someone permission to check your credit (this includes job applications, renters application, etc) your score goes down by a little bit. This does not include checking your own credit which you can do as often as you like. Dannie Briseno: Neither checking your score your self or asking them for a credit checklist will effect your credit - checking your guy or woman credit checklist in no way impacts your credit - the ding they have made by using checking your score has already been carried out. Having them provide you a replica of the checklist that they pulled, will not greater ding your credit.
