Question about selling my car?

Chanda Wittwer: skeets: that is why i was thinking about taking it to the mechanic myself. The car is in real great shape, has new tires, breaks, tie rods,battery. However i do not want to sell someont the car till i know that there is no hidden surprises. I do not want to tell the people the car is ok and than they drive it off and something breaks right away.

Mee Blumenfeld: Have the car serviced before putting in on the market. Get the fluids changed, belts (if needed) check the brakes, tires and everything else.Of course there is no guarantee that it won't break down but you can lower the odds a l! ot by servicing the car.It also looks great when you advertise a car that has been well maintained. Get it professionally detailed too. Make it look brand new. A clean car sells 100 times easier than a dirty one. ...Show more

Terrell Voltz: Go to your mechanic, even if it costs $40 or $50. Then you'll know what you've got. If a safety is within another $300, sell it certified for much more, another $500 to $700.

Just a good practice to show you really cared for the car.The general practice is for the buyer to pay for having the vehicle checked out for any needed repairs.If the oil needs to be changed, do it.
