Antone Youla: Of course you need to withdraw her. Also, if you have a contract with the school you must follow the terms of the contract such as giving notice or paying a cancellation fee.
Shaun Rapkowicz: You should send a withdrawal letter to the private school. If you don't, it will assume that she is truant. You should send the letter via certified mail and request a return receipt. Another option is taking the letter and a copy of it to the school. Have the principal (or another official) sign a copy of the letter and return it to you for your records. Be sure to ask for your child's school records in the letter, because when you homeschool in Texas, your individual home school is considered, by law a private school. Below is a link to detailed information, which includes a sample withdrawal letter:http://www.nthen.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=vch...I hope the above is helpful....Show more
Queenie Ruthers: Yes. Withdrawing removes her from being enrolled ! at the school. It doesn't matter if it is a public or private school.
