Genealogy question regarding the decent of a certain female appearance...?

Samara Siewers: My sources claim that genealogists use genetic analysis to determine pedigrees. The traits I identified above are linked to chromosomes which can be linked to geographic regions through the isolation of specific mutations, analysis of the environment and the consequent advantageous genes, and through analysis of genetic drift. My purpose in asking this question is to confirm the ethnic background of individuals with such traits....Show more

Frank Gazaway: Genealogists use DNA analysis to match and further pedigrees. Pedigrees for genealogists means a documented family tree of family names and relationships. Genetic analysis is not necessarily a family tree DNA analysis. There are all types of genetic analysis, another one being for physical characteristics, medical etc. Your question is not a true "Genealogy" question, and belongs in an Social Science -- Anthropology section.

Julee Lanham: You r "sources" are incorrect. Genealogists use docume! nted research to determine pedigree charts.DNA can provide ancient racial information. There is no no way to use general physical to determine the ethnic background without significant Physical Anthropological, or medical training. The only way to confirm the ethnic background of individuals with such traits" would be to research each and their families individually....Show more

Tyrone Disanti: I associate this appearance with Romans, with the exception of white skin, though; I, being a Germanic Semite, find myself attracted to this appearance. Assuming that one is more attracted to a genome similar to his own, I felt that my initial assumption was incorrect.

Merlin Fleischhacker: Genealogy is about researching dead ancestors via written cited records and has nothing to do with genetics and what 'looks' you find attractive............so you can't tell the genealogy ( their named ancestors) from a discription of colourings and facial features...nor can you ste! rotype a whole community/country by certain features.........! .......................................................
